48kg weight class was very cool to watch last night. On http://www.cbc.ca/olympics/schedule/daily/2008/08/10/weight_lifting/
you can watch livefeeds of the actual events so it was two hours of uninterupted (no commercials, no announcers..) live raw footage of the event so you got to see every single lift and when there were breaks in the action they would show the warmup area.

The chinese girl who won was AMAZING. She weighs 105lbs and clean and jerked 258lbs!!! New Olympic Record and 13lbs over the second place finisher and 60lbs over the Canadian (10th place).

It was also interesting to see the different body types of the lifters. Chinese girl who won was short and stalky, but then there was this french girl with long skinny legs (although it looked as though her lack of leg strength was her shortfall).

Kelly's last blog post..Olympic Coverage
