Macro/Micronutrient War

People have been asking how the macro/nutrient war has been going and the answer is GREAT!

We just started doing the body composition scanning Saturday and are seeing much more impressive results than in previous years.  Through mine and pattys online disagreements the community has been able to learn a whole lot and its showing!

One guy who is not part of either team made a comment yesterday that he has learned more about nutrition in the last three months than hes learnt in his whole life.  Leading guy on pattys team decided a month ago that he wasnt getting enough calories so he upped his fat and protein (technically taking himself out of the zone, but nothing about our “game” is exact or scientific anyway) showed some pretty big improvements in endurance and metabolic conditioning and a 3% decrease in body fat, but a decrease in lean muscle mass and strength numbers.

The two new guys I took on did remarkable both loosing over 5% body fat and gaining 5+lbs in muscle.  I also got the top girl in the gym Joy, who is an Asian, to give up rice and to her surprise after two weeks of cravings, she doesnt even miss it any more and her performance numbers are going up.   Max, one of our top guys right now also has had a significant amount of success without the carbs and actually showed not only an increase in muscle mass but a decrease in body fat as well.  

But my best memory thus far is when Dan got his results-he joined a bit late but went from living off of bread and pasta to following my guidelines by the book and was left speechless after the last week of testing.  He got the scan done on sunday while I was doing personal training and when he came back into the gym I asked how it went and he couldnt even talk.  It was like he was a little kid on christmas with his eyes wide open and the biggest smile I’ve ever seen on his face.  He just showed my his results and commented that he has been trying to follow everything that I have said, but didnt really think it would actually work.  Its pretty cool to watch people transform.
